On May 16, 2011, more than 10,000 of Canada’s most excellent young musicians will converge on Richmond, BC where for four days they'll perform for recognition as the country’s topmost musical ensembles, enroll in exclusive workshops workshops, and earn up to $100,000 in scholarships and awards. This is MusicFest Canada.

Starting from its modest origins in 1972 as Canada’s original jazz band festival, MusicFest Canada has become the culmination of 45 affiliated festivals nationwide, which connect with more than 450,000 young musicians for an opportunity to perform at the national festival. It is the original celebration of its kind and North America’s premier yearly event aimed at young musical talent.
